Good afternoon boys n girls, I am looking for peoples opinions/ideas on use of a vocal mic. I am looking for a stereo mic i can use on backing vocals, i have tried using a senny md 421, but you have to really crank it to get a decent level out of it, have been through a ton of other mics but nothing has made me smile yet. So basically anyone got any ideas??!! Please don't suggest using a 58 or anything like that, been there done that, i want a stereo mic!! I can blind you with reasons if you want me to, but can't really be bothered right now.

Rode NT4 perhaps? X-Y stereo condesnser mic, I wouldn't mind trying one as a drum o/h. Why do you need a stereo mic though? Have you got more than one backing singer round the mic?

preciesly (spelt wrong) smee, in the band there are 2 backing singers, both guitarists, use the same mic for backing vox, its a visual effect thing more than anything. I will look into the rode thing, cheers dude! Anyone else?
