Yes, it's out already and I've only just recently got used to a stable Tracktion v4.5.6 I am going to wait until a lot of Tracktioneers have given it a good work-out, before upgrading. It's seems too soon to me, so I expect there will be some fixes needed. www.tracktion.com/

I upgraded yesterday, registered and unlocked Tracktion 5.3.6
I didn't have time to "fine tune" the set-up as I had to go out.
Playback is currently a bit glitchy, but I should be able to sort that by copying the settings I use on Tracktion 4.

The main settings were the same as T4 but the new cache and latency settings had to be set to maximum, to stop the glitching completely. This is probably due to my Thunderbolt/Firewire 800/FireWire 400 adapter and cables lash-up.
Not a problem for recording live, but overdubs have to be lined-up visually.
I think there is a way of "pinging" the system to get the precise delay time.
Monitoring is not problem, as I use the Midas Venice F-32 aux sends for that.
The standard colour scheme is a bit naff, but can be easily customized.

I am sure that T5 is the best Tracktion so far.....................however, my Thunderbolt/Firewire 800/FireWire 400 adapter and cables lash-up is too much for it.
It was working fine until it stopped functioning while I was automating a volume level, then refused to save any more.
Just like my first encounter with T4, now this latest session with Dave Anderson has crashed and burned.
It does not even appear in my projects list when I open T4, but it does appear in T5 but won't load.
Fortunately, no live performance was involved, as we were just loading in stereo pairs of tracks from Dave's Boss machine and mixing them, prior to adding live stuff. Just wasted a few hours and now have to do it all again with T4 at the next session.
So, back to T4.5.6, with it's now minuscule height properties panel, but it works and there is more room on the screen for tracks, so I may not bother trying to get it fixed.
I have had so much grief over the years with Tracktion, but so much more great recordings and demos.

I finally found the method of restoring the Properties Panel in Tracktion 4 to it's correct height, by very slowly moving the cursor near the top of the panel, to reveal the thin blue adjustment line. Easy when you are not totally fed up and stressed.

I down-loaded the latest version T5.3.9 and the Dave Anderson session now loads and plays back. However, the session does not appear in T4's projects list and my last band rehearsal recorded with T4 does not appear in T5's projects list.
Normally, everything recorded should appear in both lists, so I will still use T4 as I know it works for me.
