Anyone had any experience of these, more powerful Stairville LED PAR64's? www.thomann.de/gb/stairville_led_par64_pro_36x3w_long_b.htmI was thinking of upgrading 4 of my 36x1w_long units for these, to fire in from the sides. I will keep the other 2, as I am sure that the drummers won't like these, at 3x the output, in their faces. Cheers, John.

I have ordered 2x of the Stairville LED PAR64 PRO 36X3W Long B from Thomann. I will let you know how they perform against the 36X1W versions. Cheers, John.

When I purchased my first 2x Stairville LED PAR64 PRO 36X3W lighting fixtures, I must admit I didn't fully read all of the product details. I have seen that the usual make up of 3W LED's is to have 3x1W LED's within the same optical lens, thus giving a great colour mix from the source. However, these units have the same design as the 36x1W PAR's but with 3W LED's, giving a much higher output.
I used my first 2 to light up the main vocalist area at the front of the stage at The Dirty Donkey gig and used 4x 36x1W versions for the sides and drums. The increase in output was clearly visible and as a result, I have purchased 2x more. I will be using all 8x units on 2x T-bars at the next 24 Fighting Camels gig this Saturday at The Boathouse in Wallingford. I will put diffusion filters on them to make them band friendly, in case I can't get them up high with the winch strands, due to obstructions.
I will try to get some pics. Cheers, John.

I could only rig 4x 36x3W and 2x 36x1W LED Long PAR64's at the Boathouse, due to the limited space we had. Even with the diffusion filters on, the 3W versions were way more than adequate. We have a wedding at Maidenhead this coming Saturday, with lots of room, so I will also rig 6x of my LED PAR 56's at the back of the stage, between the drums and keys, for a 2x way wash. Cheers, John. www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=259728120791292&set=a.259723707458400.53851.100002623182037&type=1&theater

I have now use my "Function Gig" lighting rig for 2x posh weddings in Burchetts Green and Windsor Great Park, with superb results. The happy couples, guests and the band, (24 Fighting Camels), were all very impressed. The photo's that I took with my Sony Ericsson Xperia smart phone, winged their way onto Facebook and look great. John.

I had the full uprated lighting rig up at Chinnor Bike Dayz XV1 and the 4x Stairville LED PAR64 PRO Long 36x3W firing across the front of the stage, was a great improvement from last year.
The 3x way trussing extensions allowed me to hang them without any obstruction.
The taller uprated winch stands easily reached the required height from the ground behind the drums for the rear trussing. The other 2 on stage behind the FOH stacks were solid as a rock, but I still used heavy duty safety wires to attach them to the stage trussing. The 5x new LED blinders worked really well.
In all, the 30x LED fixtures and additional lighting desk programming made a great show. John.
