whats your favourite and why?
I'm after a nice bit of outboard to take on tour with current employers BADDIES, the singer likes a bit of very quick delay (a bit like the kylie minogue almost instant slap back - and also a longer delay along the lines of the clash) - im thinking of getting something to take on the road with me but i cant make up my mind what to take - simon has an rev500 but that doesnt have any real delays, and also an spx 900 - i hated the behringer thing i had ages ago - i quite like the TC electronics stuff....your thoughts?

Hi Guys, I also use a Lexicon MX200, because of the following....
1. It has dual processors that can be used independently or in series or parallel. 2. It has knobs, that let you tweak very quickly, to get what you want out of it. (no endless buried menus) 3. The range of effects are both top quality and cover everything you would normally need. 4. It is not that expensive. 5. It's a Lexicon, so you know that it's industry standard and always reliable and software upgradeable. John.

i'd say have a look what the venues your playing have. If theyve reverbs comming out there arse and lack delays get delays, if its the other way round then thats got effect (pardon the pun) what you look for in the unit.

If it is delay you want, then there are only a few options:
TC D2 - the daddy. It does nothing else. You can tap in syncopated delay patterns and all sorts of things. This one appears on just about every touring rider you will ever see. Oh yes, there cheap too!
Roland SDE1000 or SDE3000. Personally I prefer the 1000 because of its analogue knobs that you can grab to produce some truly weird, morphing tap tempo delays. Vintage kit and sort after now.
Any good multi fx processor should be able to do a tap tempo delay (SPX 990s can't), some will let you run dual mono and put reverb on one channel and delay on a second.

If theyve reverbs comming out there arse So that's what they modeled those early small spaces on! Silly me, I should have guessed! I hate to think what the "warmth control" does
