I know theres already a thread for this but this is for using as with my band... Ive been looking into IEM, not really for my work where im doing sound but more for when im playing with my band. I am aware that ambience mics should ideally be used and to do this i was going to have a small condensor infront or near to everyone who has their own mix and il put more of that mic in the aux mix for that person. Im looking at this one from thomann www.thomann.de/gb/the_tbone_iem_100_800_mhz.htmAny opinions on this?

i think individual ambiant mics are a bit excesive unless your on a massive stage.
Ive always used a c451 either side of the stage and its been fine (24' wide stage in 1,000 capacity venues)

the thomann model isnt legal in the UK- only goes upto 800mhz in the uk its 863-865- could poss get away with it, but not worth the risk if you get caught, and cant use it
id recomend JTS, PM me and ill see if any of our rental stock needs replaceing hence moving onto you

ah thats bad. i wont be buying some until sorta october time. Thanks for the offer.
Im having second thoughts tho. Yes maybe I dont wanna really wanna be around deafening volumes on stage but Im not sure how I'd like IEM compared to a good old wedge infront of me!

Guys. I'm after two sets of in ear monitors. Cash waiting, would prefer more up market stuff as opposed to the cheaper end, need tow separate units and two receivers plus in ear buds, cos drummer needs one mix of vocals and keyboards, vocalist needs himself and samples ect in the other, I know you can run these in stereo so the turns can do their own mix. Any ideas? As I said, money is ready for the right stuff
