quick question here.
active crossover 1 mono out for subs
can I use a y splitter whatever to get one out to two ins. I have done this before on the other rig with a passive splitter. what should i use
passive splitter or 1 xlr female > 2 xlr male

what are the subs? active or passive?
you could use a splitter box (or a di box!) but i reckon a y lead will work just as well - my crossover has two sub outs but they can be mono summed via a switch on the front - but i found i lost a little definition running them mono - prolly just behringer crossover peculiarity; if the subs are active, a y lead will do, if they are passive, use a splitter between the two cannels of the sub amp - but check to see if the amp has a 'mono sum' switch first, could make lifer easier for you.

there is no real reason why a y split wont work just fine. Alternatively if your amps have an output link just run an xlr between your amp channels. you dont need a DI to do this since you are ouputting from a crossover unit you should already be dealing with low impedance balanced signals. An active Split is really overkill to just split a signal just once, If you were say spliting feeds between FOH, Monitors, Recording rig and an OB i might consider it lol. of course as jim has said most amps already have a stero link mode so that would save having to cable anything at all. Most people would just Y the signal though
