Yes! at Kick P.a we have one running monitors, its the 4 channel at 1kw a channel bu we bridge outputs 3&4 to power a big drum fill, its the Q4004 version i think, there very powerfull but clip quite easily through too much input signal, i'm sure your welcome to come to the unit and we'd power it up for you.

Hi Will
We use both the 1404 (700w/ch) and the Digam 7000 (3500w/ch), so far very pleased.

blimey!! 4 channels, 1kw a channel, 1u? ?? flippin' eck!! how much are they? web link anyone? actually on the subject of light amps, i tried out a clutch of QSC powerlights at a gig (the others and Les Carter) i did in Brentwood a few days ago - two units, 1800w each in a flightcase and i could carry it easily. If that was my same 2 QSC 2450's i would have put my back out. brilliant. And nice blue led's.

Thats great, thanks everyone. Im just getting old,and cant stand lifting the amp rack up a flight of steps every other gig. I remember 3 years ago at Glastonbury, having to build a bridge over the mud out of packing pallets to get from the stage to the van. When we moved the amp rack, the pallets actually sunk into the mud so deep it was coming over the edge. No more.

hey will, not trying to steal the forum peeps, but for technical questions if knip over to www.speakerplans.com/forums, theres hundreds of topics about nearly every product produced for the pro industry. Tons of useful theory too. id love some switchmode amps, lovely and light. there are mixed opinions about what ones can drive subs well however. id love this to weigh a tad less!

yeah powersofts are a good little amp although being honest i have seen them crash and thermal out more often than id expect them too but i would still consider buying them as jim says you can get 4 channels in a 1u frame, that makes them stupidly useful
