Hi all, Has anyone used or heard these monitors? www.emacoustics.co.uk/touring-/m-12-floor-monitor.html They look like ideal replacements for my vocal monitors. I recently purchased a PowerSource 1602 digital amp, at a huge discount from SmartSound and these monitors look exactly what I need, set up in 2x mirrored pairs.

I have just read the reply to my mail to sales@autogragh.co.uk, (the UK distributor), requesting the price of these monitors. Their list price is £1,475 each for the passive version (with internal crossover). They are way out of my league, even with a discount, but it was a nice dream.

Hi Ian, I was considering the TXD 12M's, but they are rated at 600Wrms and my new amp produces 800Wrms per chan into 4 ohms, so if I used them in 2x pairs, they would only be driven with 400Wrms each. I assumed that this would not be a good match.

Good match, you should always have overrated amp, exact match not great as if amp runs into distortion then goodbye speakers. Over powered within reason are less likely to blow speakers.

Happy Christmas/New Year Ian, I thought that my amp would not be capable of driving 4x TXD 12M's, so I did not consider them as a substitute. Have a good festive period and may we all enjoy our time on the road with live musicians. We are the interface between a great band and an appreciative audience. There is no better place. Cheers, John.

I ended up purchasing 4x JBL MRX 512m's. (400w rms) They are light weight, fairly compact and can be used both ways round (mirrored), or as FOH mid/high with dual angle pole mounts. They have made a great improvement in my rehearsal studio, by enabling a more detailed vocal monitor sound, with more headroom before feedback and I can squeeze in all four around the 3x main vocal mics. I am still having trouble getting covers for them though. Even SoundControl haven't sourced any yet. John.

I have finally tracked down a supplier for the covers. Falcon Pro Audio Covers can supply me with 4 for £129.25 including VAT and delivery. Just waiting to see if Sound Control have had any success, before I order. www.proaudiocovers.co.uk (MRX512M not yet put on the site, but are available) John
