I only use a pair of AKG K55's... Primarily because they take alsorts of abuse and just don't break! lol

DT100's are primarily designed for volume and cutting through a loud background noise (live gig) which they do well, but are pretty dated in design and technology now.
for live use, they cant be beaten for volume quality and flat response, but for recording ect look elsewhere!

I currently use the Beyer DT770m
Cleaner sounding than the 100s and are specifically designded for live sound and drummers. They feature 32dB A weighted noise reduction in the headphones themselves. If you look around you should be able to find them for around £130.

got to be better than the akg's i bought off ebay. no wonder they were cheap, i only wore them for an hour and the earcups tore off! i only bought them for use at home (so i can watch the telly when wifes abed / thats my excuse and i'm sticking to it) but i fixed them with super-glue - though to the sellers credit he sent me another pair as replacement - and exactly the same thing happened! LOL.

HD25'S without a doubt. Beyer's are way too heavy, and i end up with a headache!!! HD25's are nice and light, sound AMAZING, and a bargain at around £100ish!!!!
