Hi there, I am looking into registering spark sounds as a limited company.
Has anyone done this before and any tips. It looks like to register it will cost £25 + VAT £30. I have been told that before i go any further I want to register it so no one nabs the name from me, Its still available so its looking good.
Is there anything else I should know/consider?
Wont be paying tax on stuff as I wont be making enough. Its just I am starting to do more and more shows and I need to have a alternative method of payment to cash - especially when it goes over £200
Thanks
Phil

Talk to a good accountant, just because its's cheap to set up does not mean cheap to run, in fact could cost you at least £100/ month.

Don't - until you have talked to a good accountant ! I have set up and sold several Limited Companies and it is not that easy- The main reason should be to limit your liability - if you are only talking about £200 a gig, you could end up years away from making money!

Cheers for the info.
I decided just to register the name basically so no one steals it. Its worth it incase I get a good reputation and then i could possibly loose it all. Mine fo life now.
Thanks
