As im now fully self employed now (all legal and above board) im looking to buy in some kit to tidy up my set-up. im particularly looking at echo-delay units. i dont want to go bomkers money wise but can anyone suggest a good echo-reverb 1u unit i could buy that will do me? i particularly need something that i can go into a menu or twiddle a knob and actually set '50ms/90ms delay'. the berhinger thing i have works amicably but is murder to program on the fly so any ideas would be moooost appreciated.
thankee!
also, anyone out there got a 16 channel desk going begging? i need to buy one for an install im doing, guy doesnt want to buy new, and as im going to be using it i dont want to be using a cheapie. mixer will need at least 3 aux outs and an fx loop, an extra cd input seperate to the main desk channels and i'd prefer a swept mid and lo. lso needs to have a socket on the top for a small bendy light as it gets pretty dark in the place im doing the install.

Suggest TC MOneXL as reverb / fx & a TC D2 delay unit. Some of the nicest algorithms around a good value for money. A cheaper option would be the TC M300 which gives tap tempo delays, reverb etc but is not as versatile as either of the options I mentioned first. I would still keep hold of your behringer though as it does things that are pretty unique to it. One still lives in my rack to process "weird nuts".
Desk wise, see if you can find a second hand soundcraft LX7 - should be more than versatile enough for your situation.
