I'm glad to say i've been very busy ........... knackered now ! Done some great bands and some really bad ones too ............... UB40 ; very slick. We had Midas H3 on FOH but they drafted in their own Digico for FOH and Mons / all on in-ears / silent stage / NO SOUNDCHECK !!!! and they're engineer nailed it from the first beat. Brilliant.......... and that groove is very very infectious........ 10 x EAW SB1000 subs and 10 x cells 760 per side.......... the energy from those subs is awesome. Rest of the shows we used the RCF TT line array and TT wedges ........... very sweet rig ...... 4 x 2x18's and 8 cells per side........ Billy Ocean / Aswad / Alexander O'neal / Marillion / Go West etc........... Go West were great too...... fantastic vocal delivery, very soulful, and a pro band of session players with pro gear givin it some welly......... very professional........... and several 'orchestra in the park' type events .......... 60 mics onstage needs a very good engineer !!! ...... end result was great.......... cello's and basses mic'd properly will shake your liver off its mountings. I really must find out how to put some fotos on here !!

Jim ; sorry for late reply ...... been busy. Yes, we did audio on 4 stages and supplied 5 tents with Steeldeck..... 40 sheets in all........ ( bas tard stuff !!! ) ........ main stage KV2 VHD / Soundcraft / RCF wedges ........ Tent 1 ; ASS subs / EV Deltamax / Yammy LS9............. Tent 2 ; KV2 ES system / Soundcraft............ cant remember the rest. I did notice that the 3 times we spoke that day you had a Guiness in hand each time .......... i hope that is your normal set-up procedure !!!!!!!!!!!!

of course! how do you expect me to cope under such harrowing conditions??? thanks for popping over for a chat - nice to see some friendly faces when your in the back of beyond! We had a great time - i saw some terrific acts in my tent - so much so that it gave me the encouragement to keep on doing this - i'd been a little despondent lately, but that was one gig well worth doing! your steeldeck was lovely! check it

hate lasers when overused throughout a concert, should be used like a stobe, SPARINGLY, which many LX people just dont understand!!

we didnt have a lot of choice pat - scott didnt know how to connect the lasers to the desk or didnt have enough cabling to do so; short of him running backwards and forwards there wasnt a lot of choice. actually, judging by the feedback i got, everyone thought my stage had the best lighting and the best bands! LOL. we only had the lasers on for the last two hours before curfew anyway - and that included the disco at the end which looked fantastic with all the smoke.

It is, but anything that your using to have an impact on the show (strobes, lasers, moles, acl etc) is going to loose its impact if used constantly, it becomes background.
