I have just found out I am doing the sound for a sort of jazz/blues/Rock'n'Roll ish band (well thats what I would class it as ;D)
They have all the gear 1K sound - subs and tops I imagine they will have monitors Not sure what they use for their mixer but I know they have a multicore which will probs be 16/4
There is Lead Vocals 2 guitarists or 1 guitar 1 bass Keyboards
I will be engineering atleast once every week or 2.
Hey I'm Over the moon!! ;D

Got a gig with a different band this sunday for some charity event. I have seen the gear they use and its aload of S*#!~ they have 2 15" FoH cabs 500w max (i think) and 3 12" monitors in parallel with the FoH. But i'm surprised that their pa hasnt blown yet ! The power amp must be running about 0.5 ohm (if thats possible) and it usually runs 8ohm 500w per side. I will have to try and get a pic of this power amp it has no top panel on it in a fairly big flightcase by its self . But they probs need it like that to keep it cool with the power thats running through it . So anyway i am using my mixer and my DI's and stuff and using their power amps to run their gear. The plan is for me to keep as far to the back as possible and put their power amp right on stage so if it sets alight its their problem lol!!! plus i would probs end up resting my feet on top of it if its by the mixer. ZAP So if i'm still alive or not in a critical condition I will try and upload some pics and how the gig went.

If no top panel then it is not safe to use, you should tell them. If there is an accident then the authorities will throw the book at someone.
