Has anyone seen or used LED audience blinders? I would like to get some for my rig, so that muso's do not have to step out of focus to see the audience in between numbers. Cheers John.

Now that I have the uprated and taller MobillTruss winch stands, I have ordered 5x of these www.thomann.de/gb/eurolite_led_fluter_252_6000k.htmThese should make excellent close range audience blinders. I will test them out at The Dirty Donkey event at the Chiltern Park Aerodrome in Oxon on 13-14/4/12, organized by www.wycombemag.co.ukwww.facebook.com/index.php#!/events/305530972798415/ This will be my first gig in an aircraft hanger and there are 5x bands on, so it should be interesting. Cheers, John.

My Thomann order arrived yesterday. The eurolite 252's are quite robust and they are 4Kg each, so that's another 20Kg on the trussing. All of my larger LED par 64's are rigged past the winch stands at the end of the trussing, to avoid glare and to take the strain off the centre area. I will rig 1x 252 in the centre and the other 4 nearer the winch stands and spread the focusing. Hopefully I will get a chance on Sunday to try them out and check the coverage and brightness. Cheers, John.

The blinders were finally given their first task at The Dirty Donkey at the Chiltern Park Aerodrome, for WycombeMAG over the week-end. www.facebook.com/WycombeMAGI had to re-focus them for the pole dancers in front of Guns 2 Roses on Saturday. They worked really well. John.
