I am currently using a MobilTruss Bridge 31 winch-stand/triangular trussing system, purchased from Terralec. It has 2x 2mtr sections of trussing and I need to extend it by at least 2mtrs. Terralec do not sell this type of trussing separately. Any ideas where I can source this trussing from? John.

Hi Ian, I have had a look at their website and the trussing is a different type than MobilTruss. I like the conical fixings which secure sections together, with "spile" like pins and clips that MobilTruss uses. (no fiddling with spanners). They are the same type that we use at the GBBF, only smaller. I will either have to replace my current trussing with the Mobiltruss 220mm Deco series, and larger stand adaptors, or just get another Bridge 31 system and use the extra winch stands to replace my current T-bar stands. See www.terralec.com John.

The truss at GBBF is Penn fabs, the website does not show the full range.

Hi Ian, I finally decided to purchace another MobilTruss Bridge31 from Terralec. The build quality of the trussing seems to be matched only for the 2 lengths provided, unless they were slightly bent in transit, as I had problems with matching the new trussing with the existing. I have had to mark the matched ends for reference. Also, one of the winch stands was damaged in shipping and has now been replaced. Still, at least I was ready for the last Rayners gig and got some great reviews and now all 4 winch stands are being used. John.

They have extended the stage at the Rayners and I had to use all 4 sections (8 metres) of trussing to get across the stage on Saturday 11th, June. No sagging, even with 12x par 56, 2x T-bars, 2x NJD Quartets, 10 heavy duty G-clamps, 14x safety wires and half a mile of Bulgin cables. Not a bad buy after all.
